PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering antimicrobial activity and to provide an antimicrobial activity-recovering agent, wherein antibiotic properties can be kept over a long period.SOLUTION: In the method for recovering antimicrobial activity of an article containing an antimicrobial agent containing an organic resin and an aluminum salt, wherein the aluminum salt is chemically bonded to the organic resin, being formed in particles or fiber, the article is washed by using an aqueous solution containing the aluminum salt.
