The present invention provides an antiangiogenic peptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 70% identity to amino acid residues 123-140 of SEQ ID NO: 1, or amino acid residues 124-141 of SEQ ID NO: 2 . The invention further provides nucleic acid constructs encoding anti-angiogenic peptides, vectors and cells comprising such nucleic acid constructs. The present invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising the peptide or nucleic acid construct of the present invention.
