PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic apparatus, a layer thickness comparison method, and a program that can determine whether information obtained from a tomogram of the eyeground of a subject eye is caused by a difference between individuals or caused by a disease.SOLUTION: The ophthalmologic apparatus includes: acquisition means for acquiring a tomogram of the eyeground of a subject eye； comparison means for comparing the layer thicknesses of the eyeground in positions symmetrical with respect to a straight line connecting the center of the macula on the eyeground and the center of the optic disk, on the basis of the tomogram； and display control means for causing display means to display information indicating a result of the comparison by the comparison means in a color corresponding to the result of the comparison.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
