Provided is a plant cultivation device (11) capable of preventing a cultivation liquid from being irradiated with light. The plant cultivation device (11) is provided with cultivation liquid storage units (15) on which planting boards (13) for planting plants (12) are placed. The cultivation liquid storage units (15) have non-placement regions (29) on which the planting boards (13) are not placed, and stores a cultivation liquid in which the roots of the plants (12) are immersed. The device (11) is provided with light sources (26) for irradiating the plants (12) with light. The device (11) is provided with light-shielding cover members (41). The cover members (41) are configured to move between a closed position wherein the non-placement regions (29) of cultivation liquid storage units (15) are covered and an open position wherein the non-placement regions (29) are open.
