PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring electrocardiogram are provided to prevent power consumption or unnecessary traffic by continuously transmitting data to a medical center on an on-line mode. CONSTITUTION: A body signal measurement unit(110) is attached to the body of a user. A bio signal measurement unit measures a bio signal including an electrocardiogram signal. A memory unit(130) stores the bio signal. A multi communication unit(170) includes at least one communication unit for communicating with a server of a medical center. A communication state provider(160) provides the state information of the communication unit to a controller(120). The controller transmits the bio signal to the server of the medical center through the multi communication unit. An alarm unit(140) informs an emergency situation through a sound unit or display unit.본 발명은 온라인 및 오프라인에서 선택적으로 심장박동을 감시하는 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 오프라인에서는 환자의 맥박을 감시하여 심장박동의 이상 유무를 체크하며, 통신상태가 원활한 지역에서는 온라인으로 동작모드를 전환하여 의료기관 서버와의 통신을 통해 심장박동에 대한 정밀진단이 이루어지도록 하는 심장박동 감시 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 통신 상태와 통신에 따른 요금 상태를 신호 강도, 통신에 따른 할인구간이 적용되는가에 대한 상황을 종합적으로 판단하여 통신상황이 열악한 구간에서는 심박측정 모듈에서 발생하는 데이터를 누적하였다가 통신상황이 양호한 구간에서 온라인으로 상기 데이터를 외부 의료기관에 전송하여 데이터를 처리함으로써 정밀 분석이 이루어지도록 하며, 온라인 상황에서는 데이터 저장없이 지속적으로 온라인으로 데이터를 전송하도록 하여 효율적인 트래픽 관리 및 배터리 사용이 이루어지도록 할 수 있다.
