PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shellfish mounting method that makes it possible to automatically perform perforation work, insertion work and shellfish mounting work in a series of flow of work.SOLUTION: A shellfish mounting method is configured as follows: in a shellfish preparation line, shellfish is set in a shellfish gripper, aligned in a predetermined place, formed of insertion holes and fed into a convergence line； in a fastener preparation line, a shellfish fastener is inserted in a vertical rope and the vertical rope is fed into convergence line； and in a convergence line, the shellfish is made to slide in the center direction of the shellfish fastener and the shellfish is mounted in the shellfish fastener. A guide tube may be used in the sliding. A shellfish mounting apparatus is characterized in that the shellfish preparation line includes shellfish conveying means, alignment means and perforation means, the fastener preparation line includes a rope conveying mechanism and fastener insertion means, and the convergence line includes fastener delivery means and a pusher, and thereby perforation work, insertion work and shellfish mounting work can be performed in a series of flow of work.
