The present invention relates to a surgical tape (1) including a carrier (2,3), on one side coated with an adhesive(4) and including a layer of non-woven (3). According to the invention a layerof plastic film (2) is laminated to the layer ofnon-woven and the surgical tape (1) is tearabie in a cross direction relativeits longitudinal direction and liquid impermeable.
