The detection unit detects an abnormal region in first image data that indicates an abnormal region. The generation unit, when the feature amount of the abnormal region detected by the detection unit is equal to or more than a threshold value, generates second image data by performing, on the abnormal region, an image process of reducing the feature that determines the region as an abnormal region.
