PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit for an endoscope which keeps the waterproof and moistureproof properties improved and the workability of assembly by facilitating the positioning of the optical performance.
SOLUTION: The imaging unit 40 has an observation window 51, and a first lens unit 42 conducting the subject image, an optical path changing member 42 for changing the direction of the optical path of the subject image, a second lens unit 43 for conducting the subject image where the direction of optical path is changed, and a solid imaging element 64 for photoelectrically converting the subject image formed by the second lens unit, and the optical path changing member has positioning parts 56, 57 for positioning and fixing the first and second lens units to the optical performance positions where the subject image conducted by the first and second lens units is formed in the solid imaging element.
