PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article of footwear that supports walking, running, or the like with correct posture.SOLUTION: The insole 1 of the article of footwear is composed of a sheet portion 1 and a supporting member 2. The supporting member 2 is a three-dimensional elastic plate, in the rear surfaces of which regions touching a plane P without weighting are only the rear ground contact region 212 and the front ground contact region 214, with a region in-between arch-shaped. Since the rear and the front ground contact regions 212, 214 are narrow regions, the supporting member 2 is unstable in the transverse direction of the article of footwear. When a wearer starts weighting the supporting member 2 from the heel side by walking, the supporting member 2 bends, with the open front edge 216 touching the ground. Then, when the wearer shifts the weight forward, a second front ground contact region 218 touches the ground.
