Disclosed herein is a syringe for use in pressurized infusion of a fluid. The syringe includes a syringe barrel containing a polymeric material expanded by stretch blow molding and compression molding of the inner diameter of a cylinder with a core member. In some configurations of the barrel, stretch blow molding is provided through the nozzle of the syringe. Likewise, according to a further embodiment, a syringe for use of pressurized injection of fluid is provided.
