PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a surface of an absorbent article into close contact with a skin and to prevent leakage of a body fluid, by making a blood discharge port corresponding part of the absorbent article swell toward a skin side when being taken out of an individual package, even if the absorbent article is a thin type.SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 is folded with a packaging sheet 12 to a side of a liquid impermeable back surface sheet 2 while being enclosed by the packaging sheet 12 so that at least a blood discharge port corresponding part H and a rear side part of the blood discharge port corresponding part are mountain-folded to a side of a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 at a central part in a napkin width direction along the longitudinal direction. A mountain fold part 13 in which the central part in the width direction of the sanitary napkin 1 swells toward a skin side along the longitudinal direction due to a fold habit is formed when the sanitary napkin 1 is taken out of an individually packaged sanitary napkin 20. A surface of the sanitary napkin 1 is brought into close contact with a skin surface by wearing to bring the mountain fold part 13 into close contact with a blood discharge port part, thereby the leakage of a body fluid is prevented.
