PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is excellent in liquid absorptivity and liquid leakage prevention, also maintains soft touch gentle to the skin and the nature of hardly getting stuffy, and is excellent in a wearing feeling.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a liquid permeable surface sheet, a back surface sheet, and an absorbent interposed between both sheets. The liquid permeable surface sheet is composed of nonwoven fabric, the absorbent is formed of pulp fibers obtained by defibrating natural fibers as main components, and the liquid permeable surface sheet and the absorbent are piled up. Also, on a skin abutting surface side, a rugged shape integrated by being in contact by the surface sheet and the absorbent is provided.
