PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a surgery planning of implant components to be made automatically based on objective criteria, etc. to reduce the area of burdens on a surgeon and to keep the level of implant surgery which has been depending on the skill of a surgeon.
SOLUTION: It is to provide a method to select an implant component for obtaining desired results from a surgery. This method includes (A) a process to acquire target patient information, (B) a process to obtain information on an implant component which should be implanted, (C) a process to generate an evaluation function using the above information on the patient and on the implant component, and (D) a process to select an implant component which should actually be used for a surgery based on the evaluation function.
