PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing jig head capable of suppressing tipping over when overcoming a stepped portion existing on a water bottom. A jig head 1A includes a sinker 2, a hook 10, and a line connecting portion 20. The sinker 2 is fixed to the base end of the shank portion 11 of the hook 10. The state in which the sinker 2 lands on the water bottom 50 and the tip portion 13 of the hook 10 is arranged above the shank portion 11 of the hook 10 is the landing posture of the jig head 1A. The sinker 2 includes a ground contact surface 3 that contacts the water bottom 50 when the jig head 1A is in the landing posture, and a guide slope 4 that is formed in front of the ground contact surface 3 and that is inclined or curved obliquely upward. The guide slope 4 guides the sinker 2 to the upper side of the step portion when the sinker 2 is pulled forward by the line 40 and gets over the step portion existing on the water bottom 50.
