The present invention relates to an arrangement for taking a biopsy in a human or animal tissue, comprising an elongated hollow member having a circular cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis, and a circular cutting edge (31) at a distal end. The circular cutting edge is provided with at least one cutting slit (32), running from the cutting edge in a proximal direction of the elongated hollow member. The arrangement further comprises a rotational member configured to apply rotational movement to the hollow member, wherein the rotational movement is applied in accordance to a rotational procedure such that the hollow member is rotated in one direction a predefined amount of rotations, and thereafter rotated in an opposite direction the same amount of rotations.La présente invention concerne un dispositif destiné à prélever une biopsie dans un tissu humain ou animal, comprenant un élément creux allongé ayant une section transversale circulaire dans un plan perpendiculaire à un axe longitudinal, et un bord de coupe circulaire (31) au niveau dune extrémité distale. Le bord de coupe circulaire est doté dau moins une fente de coupe (32), sétendant à partir de larête de coupe dans une direction proximale de lélément creux allongé. Lagencement comprend en outre un élément de rotation conçu pour appliquer un mouvement rotatif à lélément creux, le mouvement rotatif étant appliqué en fonction dune procédure de rotation de telle sorte que lélément creux est mis en rotation dans une direction, pour une quantité prédéfinie de rotations, puis mis en rotation dans une direction opposée pour la même quantité de rotations.
