The present invention relates to a method for preparing a liquid crystal composition, the method comprising a step for adding an oil part to a D phase (surfactant phase) containing a non-ionic surfactant and a polyol to prepare an O/D phase, and then adding an anionic surfactant and a water phase part to the O/D phase to disperse the O/D phase therein, followed by cooling and filtration, wherein the liquid crystal composition has a desired structure out of a lamella, cubic, or hexagonal structure depending on the contents of the respective ingredients.
