PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article comprising a side seal part which has improved body follow ability and wearing feeling and which hardly splits unintentionally during wearing.SOLUTION: A side seal part 40 comprises plural junction parts 41 of a belly side exterior body 31 and a back side exterior body 32 arranged intermittently in a vertical direction X. The junction parts 41 have respectively, a lateral direction outside end 410 which is relatively far from a reference and a lateral direction inside end 411 which is relatively close to the reference, in which a lateral direction center of an absorbent article 1, namely a virtual center line LCy is the reference. The lateral direction outside end 410 coincides an outside edge 40S1 along a vertical direction X of the side seal part 40.
