PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition for inhibiting TGF-&beta (transformation growth factor &beta).SOLUTION: Inhibitory effects on a rise of the TGF-&beta in blood and a cerebrospinal fluid are obtained by administering a composition comprising theanine as an active ingredient. Thereby, the new composition for inhibiting the TGF-&beta can be provided.
