A medical instrument kit (10) for manipulating, in particular retracting tissue or an organ in the human or animal body, comprises a muco-adhesive element (12) having a flat-spread muco-adhesive polymer body (20) configured to adhere to the surface of the tissue or the organ, wherein the muco-adhesive element (12) further has at least one magnetically acting portion (52). The instrument kit (10) further comprises an applicator (14) configured to receive the muco-adhesive element (12) and to introduce the muco-adhesive element (12) into the body and for placing the muco-adhesive element (12) on the tissue or organ to be manipulated, wherein the applicator (14) is configured to be introduced through a minimal access port in the body surface into the body. The instrument kit (10) further comprises a manipulator (16) configured to magnetically couple to the at least one magnetically acting portion (52) of the muco-adhesive element (12), so that the tissue or organ to which the muco-adhesive element (12) adheres can be manipulated through magnetic coupling between the manipulator (16) and the at least one magnetically acting portion (52) of the muco-adhesive element (12).
