Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a tampon provided with: an absorbent body that absorbs liquids an outer cylindrical member that contains the absorbent body such that the outer cylindrical member and the absorbent body can move relative to one another and a moving member for moving the absorbent body relative to the outer cylindrical member. The disclosed method includes: a step wherein the moving member is inserted through an opening of the outer cylindrical member a step wherein the absorbent body is positioned such that a part thereof goes inside the outer cylindrical member via the aforementioned opening and the other part of the absorbent body is exposed outside the outer cylindrical member a step wherein a drug formulation is adhered to the part of the absorbent body which is exposed outside the outer cylindrical member and a step wherein the part of the absorbent body to which the drug formulation has been adhered is placed inside the outer cylindrical member via the aforementioned opening.
