Disclosed is a topical composition comprising: (a) an active pharmaceutical ingredient consisting of bis(2-chloroethyl)methylamine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and (b) butylated hydroxytoluene. The composition is used to treat skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema, actinic keratosis, lupus, sarcoidosis, alopecia, cutaneous T-Cell lymphoma, mycosis fungoides, lymphoreticular neoplasia, pleural and peritoneal effusions, cutaneous Bcell lymphoma, pseudolymphomas of the skin, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, bronchogenic carcinoma, malignant melanoma, lymphosarcoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, polycythemia vera, lymphomatoid papulosis and Mucha-Habberman's disease (PLEVA).
