PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which enables an efficient growth of plants.SOLUTION: The lighting device, which supplies lights necessary for growing plants, includes: a first fluorescent part, having semiconductor light-emitting elements each having an emission region in a near-ultraviolet region or an ultraviolet region and a red fluorescent material excited by light emission from the semiconductor light-emitting elements to fluoresce red light, and radiating at least the red light from the red fluorescent material to the outer part a second fluorescent part having semiconductor light-emitting elements each having an emission region in a near-ultraviolet region or an ultraviolet region, and a blue fluorescent material excited by light emission from the semiconductor light-emitting elements to fluoresce blue light, and radiating at least the blue light from the blue fluorescent material to the outer part and an electric power supply part for supplying electric power to each of the semiconductor light-emitting elements which the first fluorescent part has and the semiconductor light-emitting elements which the second fluorescent part has.
