PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that most conventional silver-based antimicrobial agents are obtained by supporting silver or silver ion on zeolite, supporting silver ion on a part of ionic crystal by ion exchange or supporting silver or silver ion on an inorganic solid surface, have narrow application ranges as antimicrobial functional materials and problems are pointed out in terms of safety to the human body and the natural environment by metals except silver and kinds of anions.SOLUTION: The antimicrobial composition in which silver very fine particles of several nm size are supported by van der Waals force on collagen and a polypeptide compound obtained by its hydrolysis is synthesized. The composition is a functional material developing an instant sterilizing antimicrobial effect which has not existed. Its application range is not limited to only an antimicrobial agent but is expected to have an effect on dermatophytic fungi such as Trichophyton, Malassezia, etc., and on prevention of pollinosis.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】 従来の銀系抗菌剤は銀又は銀イオンをゼオライトに担持あるいはイオン交換により置換したものや無機質固体表面に担持したものがほとんどで、抗菌性機能材としての適用範囲が狭く、また銀以外の金属や陰イオンの種類により人体や自然環境に対する安全性に於いて問題点を指摘されるものが多く見受けられた。【解決手段】 コラーゲン及びその加水分解により得られるポリペプチド化合物に数nm規模の銀微細粒子をvan der Waals力により担持してなる抗菌性組成物を合成し、従来にない即時殺菌的抗菌効果を発現する機能材を発明した。その適用範囲は単なる抗菌剤にとどまらず、白癬菌やマラセチア等の皮膚糸状菌に対する効果や花粉症の予防等にも効果が期待されている。【選択図】なし
