Die Erfindung betrifft Collagen zur Verwendung in der Behandlung entzündlicher und degenerativer Hauterkrankungen und damit verbundener Hautschädigungen wie insbesondere in der Behandlung von Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Neurodermitis, Rosacea, Urticaria (Nesselsucht), Pruritus (Juckreiz), Hautekzemen und aktinischer Keratose. Insbesondere betrifft die Erfindung gefriergetrocknetes Collagen in Form von schichtförmigen Auflagen, Sheets, Pads oder Masken zur vorgenannten Verwendung.Collagen for treating inflammatory and degenerative skin diseases, and associated skin damage, is claimed. Independent claims are also included for: (1) treating by using collagen, comprising: (a) providing a layered dry form of application consisting of collagen or a collagen preparation, and (b1) moistening the dry layered collagen material with an activator solution including water, physiological solutions and aqueous solutions containing at least one active- and/or auxiliary substance, and applying the moistened collagen material to the skin areas to be treated or (b2) applying the dry layered collagen material to the skin areas to be treated, and moistening the dry layered collagen material on the skin areas to be treated with an activator solution including water, physiological solutions and aqueous solutions containing at least one active- and/or auxiliary substance； and (2) a kit comprising collagen and an activator solution including water, physiological solutions, and aqueous solutions containing at least one active- and/or auxiliary substance, in an associated spatial arrangement.
