Systems and methods for draining fluid out of a patients body using a catheter assembly is described. A catheter assembly includes an outer catheter, an inner catheter disposed within the outer catheter, and an expandable member. The expandable member is disposed about the inner catheter and reconfigurable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration within a venous system. The expandable member forms a Y-shape and defines a cavity between a wall of the venous system and the expandable member in the expanded configuration.
