PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions which can be used for restoring cardiac function after cardiac damage, such as myocardial infarction, as well as for reducing symptoms of inflammatory disease.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising tumor necrosis factor stimulated gene 6 (TSG-6) protein used in a method for decreasing the size of myocardial infarction in a mammalian subject, wherein the method comprises administering the TSG-6 protein to the mammalian subject after myocardial infarction, and the TSG-6 protein is administrated at the dosage of 0.001 to 1000 mg/Kg/day.【課題】心筋梗塞などの心臓障害後の心臓機能の回復、及び炎症性疾患の症状の低下に使用できる組成物の提供。【解決手段】哺乳類被検者における心筋梗塞のサイズを低下させる方法に使用される腫瘍壊死因子刺激遺伝子６（ＴＳＧ－６）タンパク質を含む医薬組成物であって、前記方法は、前記心筋梗塞の発生後に前記ＴＳＧ－６タンパク質を前記哺乳類被検者に投与することを含み、前記ＴＳＧ－６タンパク質が０．００１～１０００ｍｇ／ｋｇ／日の量で投与される医薬組成物。【選択図】なし
