The invention relates to a stabilizer (10) for a lower link of a three point hitch of a tractor comprising a first stabilizer element (12) and a second stabilizer element (16) which is mounted in a resilient manner along a common longitudinal axis (14) relative to the first stabilizer element (12). The two stabilizer elements (12 16) can be rotated with respect to each other relative to the common longitudinal axis (14) in order to adjust the total length of the stabilizer (10). Furthermore a blocking means (38) is provided which is connected to the first stabilizer element (12) and which can be brought into a specified blocking position in order to reduce a resilient movement that occurs between the two stabilizer elements (12 16). The first stabilizer element (12) has a locking collar (50) which is designed in a rotationally symmetrical manner relative to the common longitudinal axis (14) and which engages into a recess (48) arranged in the blocking means (38) when the blocking means (38) is in the specified blocking position such that an inward and outward resilient movement that occurs between the two stabilizer elements (12 16) is prevented. The second stabilizer element (16) can be locked with respect to the first stabilizer element (12) by means of a securing means (76) said securing means (76) comprising a spring clip (78) that engages or is pressed into a recess (80) provided on the periphery of the locking collar (50).
