To provide brake equipment which requires no force for pressure contact of a contact member to a wheel, which facilitates adjustment for bringing the contact member into contact with the wheel, which applies stably friction to the wheels, and which is preferable for braking rotating wheels and can be easily used.SOLUTION: There is provided brake equipment 2 for braking rotation of wheels T, comprising: contact members 3 each of which is provided rotatably around a shaft member 31 at an eccentric position, whose curve outer peripheral face 3a contacts the wheel T by self weight, in the contact state, each of which rotates following to rotation of the wheel T and pressure contacts the wheel T, rotates thereby increasing an interval between the shaft member 31 and a portion contacting the wheel T and increasing friction applied to the wheel T; absorption members 4 each of which absorbs the contact member 3 in the contact state by magnetic force and rotates the contact member in a separated state; and solenoids 5 for separating the contact members 3 in the separated state from the absorption members 4 and returning them to the contact state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4【課題】接触部材を車輪に圧接する力を必要とせず、接触部材を車輪に接触させる調整が容易であり、摩擦力を安定して車輪に付与することができると共に、回転している車輪の制動に好適な制動装置や、さらに使い勝手の良い制動装置を提供する。【解決手段】車輪Tの回転を制動する制動装置2において、偏心した位置の軸部材31を中心に回動可能に設けられ、自重によって曲面状の外周面3aが車輪Tに接触するものであって、接触状態において、車輪Tの回転に伴い回動して車輪Tに圧接し、回動することで軸部材31と車輪Tに接触する箇所との間隔が大きくなり車輪Tに付与される摩擦力も大きくなる接触部材3と、接触状態の接触部材3を磁力によって吸着させ離間状態に回動させる吸着部材4と、離間状態の接触部材3を吸着部材4から離し、接触状態に戻すソレノイド5と、を備えたものである。【選択図】図4
