PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the storage stability of pitavastatin calcium salt, more specifically a method for inhibiting the formation of 5-keto product as decomposition product from pitavastatin calcium salt.SOLUTION: A storage method for inhibiting formation of 5-keto product from pitavastatin calcium salt by decomposition includes storing crystals of the pitavastatin calcium salt under conditions with oxygen being removed.
