A hinged cap device for use with a syringe includes a base defining an interior cavity for mounting onto a tip and a cap connected to the base by a living hinge. The cap is moveable from a ready position to an open position to expose a needle, and from the open position to a secured position to prevent relative rotation between the cap and the base. A first latching mechanism is on the cap for engaging the needle, the first latching mechanism locatable on a first side of the needle in the ready position and locatable on a second side of the needle in the secured position. The needle is disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the ready position, and the needle is not disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the secured position.La présente invention concerne un dispositif formant capuchon à charnière destiné à être utilisé avec une seringue, ledit dispositif comprenant une base définissant une cavité intérieure destinée à être montée sur une pointe et un capuchon relié à la base par une charnière mobile. Le capuchon peut être déplacé dune position de départ à une position ouverte pour mettre à nu une aiguille, et de la position ouverte à une position fixée pour empêcher toute rotation relative entre le capuchon et la base. Un premier mécanisme de verrouillage est prévu sur le capuchon pour mettre en prise laiguille, le premier mécanisme de verrouillage pouvant être positionné dun premier côté de laiguille dans la position de départ et pouvant être positionné dun second côté de laiguille dans la position fixée. Laiguille peut être libérée du premier mécanisme de verrouillage dans la position de départ, et laiguille ne peut pas être libérée du premier mécanisme de verrouillage dans la position fixée.
