摘要:
Previously known electric snail protecting walls carry two conductor tracks guided in parallel on an insulating substrate, which are connected to a low voltage source. This arrangement is sensitive to bridging of the conductor tracks, for example by acid rain, plants or snails, because the current source is thereby quickly discharged or destroyed. A cost-effective device is needed which also works reliably in the rain. In the innovation, the protective wall carries a single conductor track along its upper edge, which is connected with respect to earth to a pulse generator. If a snail tries to cross the protecting wall, it completes the current loop on the edge with its moist trail and is prevented from creeping further. The average current consumption can be kept very small, even in the case of a short circuit between conductor track and ground. The pulses consist of high frequency wave trains and are not dangerous to humans. The new device is intended to be used in horticulture.
