The belt has a plastic band (4), which has a current part (8), an eyelet (10) and two ends (12, 14). The eyelet delimits a passage opening (22) of the part (8). Reinforcement (6) is incorporated in the band surrounding the opening and extends from the end (12) to another end (14). The reinforcement is constituted by a single wire (30) extending around the opening in shape of a buckle on an angular range of 180 degrees. The wire forms sections (32, 34) of curved parts (36, 38) at free ends for ring shaped or U-shaped protection.
