PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new preparation for enhancing the production of aquaporin which is an important factor for preventing and ameliorating drying and aging of the skin caused by ultraviolet rays or aging.SOLUTION: The aquaporin production enhancing preparation includes a specific plant extract (extracts of Clematis hybrids, Crataegus cuneata, Achillea millefolium and Vitis spp.) as an active ingredient. The preparation has activity for enhancing the protein expression level of the aquaporin in cutaneous cells and allowing the protein to be produced.
