A pest eradication system includes a thermal covering receivable over an article of furniture and having a top and one or more contiguous sides that extend from the top, wherein the sides extend and cover all sides and at least a portion of a bottom of the article of furniture. One or more heating elements are coupled to the thermal covering to apply heat to the article of furniture, wherein at least a portion of the heating elements extends to the bottom of the article of furniture. A programmable module communicates with the thermal covering to regulate operation of the heating elements. The programmable module is programmed to selectively operate the heating elements to reach a thermal death point for at least one of an insect pest or a microorganism present on or in the article of furniture.La présente invention concerne un système d'éradication d'organismes nuisibles, comprenant un revêtement thermique pouvant être reçu sur un meuble, et ayant une partie supérieure et un ou plusieurs côtés contigus qui prennent naissance au niveau de la partie supérieure, les côtés s'étendant et recouvrant toutes les faces et au moins une partie d'un fond du meuble. Un ou plusieurs éléments chauffants sont accouplés au revêtement thermique pour appliquer de la chaleur au meuble, au moins une partie des éléments chauffants s'étendant jusqu'au fond du meuble. Un module programmable communique avec le revêtement thermique pour réguler le fonctionnement des éléments chauffants. Le module programmable est programmé pour faire fonctionner sélectivement les éléments chauffants afin d'atteindre un point de mort thermique pour au moins un insecte nuisible ou un micro-organisme présent sur le meuble ou dans ce dernier.
