PURPOSE: A large flowerpot capable of reducing the injection mold cost, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enable users to separately produce upper and lower flowerpot units for integrating the units. CONSTITUTION: A large flowerpot comprises the following: an upper flowerpot unit(110) having a tapering shape with the bigger diameter on the upper side than the lower side, and including an outer diameter reduction protrusion; a lower flowerpot unit(120) having the tapering shape, and including an inner diameter increase protrusion fused to the outer diameter reduction protrusion; and a soil and sand supporter(130) including draining holes for discharging water, formed in one of the flowerpot units for storing soil and sand. The height ratio of the upper and lower flowerpot units is 7-8:3-2.상부화분유닛과 하부화분유닛으로 분리하여 제작한 후 상부화분유닛과 하부화분유닛을 서로 용착하여 대형화분을 제조함으로써, 대형화분 제조에 필요한 사출금형비용을 절감하여 대형화분을 저렴한 비용으로 생산할 수 있는 대형화분 및 그 제조방법이 개시된다.
