According to the present disclosure there is provided a stopcock comprising: a housing defining a central bore and at least first, second and third ports, and a handle which is selectably positionable relative to said housing, said housing and said handle together defining at least one fluid passageway communicating between at least two of said at least first, second and third ports, said at least one fluid passageway being selectably defined by rotational positioning of said handle relative to said housing； said handle defining a side-to-side extending bore, a side extending bore communicating with said side-to-side extending bore and a flow guide, said flow guide being disposed in said side-to-side extending bore and said side bore in a manner such that fluid communication between opposite ends of said side-to-side extending bore connecting at least two of said at least first, second and third ports takes place via said side bore.
