PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological state detecting device which can be in contact with a portion of a human body of a subject at moderate pressure without a detector to detect the biological state disturbing the subject nor spoiling the appearance of the device when not measuring a biological state.SOLUTION: The biological state detector 20 detects a biological signal that shows the biological state of a detection object in contact with an object detection sensor 30 provided on a surface of a casing 12. Here, when the detection object is out of contact with the object detection sensor 30, the biological state detector 20 is accommodated in a guide unit 19 of the casing 12.
