A humeral prosthesis (10), for the articulation of a humerus in a scapula of a shoulderhaving a glenoid cavity, comprises an articulation device (15) able to be associatedboth with an articulation element (12) mounted on the glenoid cavity, and alsoat the top of said humerus by means of attachment means (20). The articulationdevice (15) comprises a first element (16) able to articulate with the articulationelement (12) and a second element (18) associated with the attachment means (20),the first element (16) and the second element (18) being pivoted to each otheraround a pivoting axis (Y) to allow a free relative rotation thereof around thepivoting axis (Y).
