Baling machine for branches, which comprises a collection group (6) of the branches mounted at the front of the frame (2) of the machine (1) and a compacting chamber (7) mounted behind the collection group to receive the sarmenta from the latter and form them into a bale.There are gate means (9) formed from a first gate (9A) hinged to a lower portion of the frame (2) and a second gate (9B), above the first and hinged to an upper portion of the frame. The two gates (9A, 9B) are moved by first actuator means (10) between a coupling position, in which the free edges of the gates (9A, 9B) are joined to close the compacting chamber (7), and a decoupling position in which the free edges (14, 16) of the gates are spaced apart forming a passage channel (17) for the formed and bound bale to pass through.
