PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy in calculating the concentration of a boron-containing agent.SOLUTION: A neutron capture therapy system 1 for projecting a neutron beam N onto a patient M who is administered with a boron-containing agent comprises: a neutron beam projection unit 4 for projecting the neutron beam N to the patient M a gamma ray information acquisition unit 30 for acquiring first gamma ray information about the gamma ray G discharged from the patient M by the projection of the neutron beam N and an agent concentration calculation unit 40 for calculating the concentration of the agent in the body of the patient M, using the first gamma ray information. The gamma ray information acquisition unit 30 includes a pair of detectors 31a, 31b arranged in paired positions across a region R where the patient M rests. The agent concentration calculation unit 40 calculates the concentration of the agent, using third gamma ray information, the third gamma ray information being obtained by excluding, from the first gamma ray information, second gamma ray information which is about gamma rays of a given energy respectively detected by the detectors 31a, 31b at the simultaneous time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】ホウ素を含む薬剤濃度の算出精度の向上を図る。【解決手段】ホウ素を含む薬剤が投与された患者Mへ中性子線Nを照射する中性子捕捉療法システム1であって、患者Mへ中性子線Nを照射する中性子線照射部4と、中性子線Nの照射により患者Mから放出されるガンマ線Gに関する第1のガンマ線情報を取得するガンマ線情報取得部30と、第1のガンマ線情報を利用して、患者Mの体内における薬剤の濃度を算出する薬剤濃度算出部40と、を備える。ガンマ線情報取得部30は、患者Mが配置される領域Rを挟んで対となる位置に設けられた一対の検出器31a,31bを有し、薬剤濃度算出部40は、第1のガンマ線情報から検出器31a,31bのそれぞれで同時時刻に検出された所定のエネルギーのガンマ線に関する第2のガンマ線情報が除かれた第3のガンマ線情報を利用して、薬剤の濃度を算出する。【選択図】図1
