PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type working machine solving problems on turning that in turning an operator could not concentrate in turning operation since he or she had to carry out on/off operations of a working device and lift up/down operations of the working device besides turning operation of the machine body.
SOLUTION: The riding type working machine is provided with right and left rear wheels driven through left and right side clutches (SC) separately on/off switching power from the engine on the body, and a controller controlling the turning operation of the traveling machine body while carrying out a ground work with a working device vertically-movably fitted and controlling operation of the working device and lift up/down operation of the working device linked to the turning action, wherein the machine is provided with a detector (S) to detect the travel distance of the machine body for controlling the operation, lift down or up of the working device, and the detector (S) is configured to detect the number of rotation of a gear rotating body (K) for detecting rotation.
