An operating light device (1) comprises a movable orientable lamp (3) intended to illuminate an operating field (2), a camera (8) placed in the lamp to form an image of the operating field (2) illuminated by the lamp (3) and a data processing unit (12) connected to the camera (8) for digitally processing said image. There are two independent markers (9) which can be placed in a fixed position relative to one another on the operating field (2) and the data processing unit (12) is arranged to detect in said image the two markers (9) and calculate a relative distance between these two markers (9). Un dispositif d'éclairage (1) scialytique comprend une lampe (3) orientable et mobile destinée à éclairer un champ opératoire (2), une caméra (8) placée dans la lampe pour former une image du champ opératoire (2) éclairé par la lampe (3) et une unité de traitement de données (12) reliée à la caméra (8) pour effectuer un traitement numérique de ladite image. Il est prévu deux marqueurs (9) indépendants qui peuvent être placés en position fixe l'un par rapport à l'autre sur le champ opératoire (2) et l'unité de traitement de données (12) est agencée pour détecter dans ladite image les deux marqueurs (9) et calculer une distance relative entre ces deux marqueurs (9).
