PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for suppressing cancer cell proliferation useful as not only a pharmaceutical but as a food, which have the effect of suppressing the growth of cancer cells, have high safety, and can be supplied inexpensively in large quantities, the compositions containing a novel active ingredient.SOLUTION: Provided is a composition for suppressing cancer cell proliferation characterized by containing as an active ingredient a fat-soluble component contained in Lentinus edodes mycelium culture medium extract.
