The present invention is a combination of a tracking module built for drug delivery devices such as insulin pens, and an application built for handheld devices. The tracking module in the invention fits on top of the drug delivery device, extracts useful information from it and stores it along with real-time stamp. The application in the invention connects to the tracking module through wireless connectivity. The application provides reminders, displays relevant information, keeps a check on the amount of the drug left in the device, pushes information automatically to doctors and other concerned people and prevents patients from forgetting their devices while going out, through alerts. The present invention is a complete drug intake management for the patients by ensuring proper and timely dosage. [FIG.1]
