Provided are a mobile device-based life coaching method, a mobile device, and a computer-readable recording medium having recorded the method thereon. The mobile device-based life coaching method includes (a) receiving user type information using a user type information input program, (b) extracting standard guideline information corresponding to the user type information using a standard guideline information extraction program, (c) receiving sensed information from one or more sensing units using a sensing program, and (d) extracting condition and situation information of a user from the sensed information and outputting life coaching information corresponding to the standard guideline information based on the extracted condition and situation information at an appropriate time and place in an appropriate way using a life coaching program.
