Provided is a relatively compact artificial light-type plant cultivation apparatus which is capable of both NFT hydroponic cultivation and DFT hydroponic cultivation. This plant cultivation apparatus 1 is provided with: a storage tank 20 for storing a nutrient solution; a plant supporter 30, 30A for supporting a plant; a placement means for placing the plant supporter 30, 30A at a predetermined position in the storage tank 20; and a light source 61 for emitting artificial light to the plant placed in the storage tank 20. The placement means comprises both: a first member 40 having an inclined placement surface 41a on which the plant supporter 30, 30A is placed; and a second member 50 for hanging and supporting the plant supporter 30, 30A in a state in which the plant supporter is held away from the bottom wall 21 of the storage tank 20.
