FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a non-cracked, crystallized hot metal sample. Dip campanil for taking samples from a bath of molten metal, in particular molten iron. Dip campanil includes a sample chamber assembly comprising a cover plate and a body. Body has a first and second apertures intended for the intake passage and the gas connector. On the first surface, an analysis zone, a ventilation zone and a distribution zone are created. Depth of the analysis zone is from 0.5 to 1.5 mm. Cover plate and the body are assembled together to form a sample cavity. Sample chamber assembly allows the molten iron to be received internally to form a crystallized sample of a metal with a white cast iron structure. Analyzed surface of the sample lies in the first plane. When viewed in the direction of molten iron flow, the width of the sample cavity does not increase. Ratio of length to depth in it increases.EFFECT: invention provides maximum efficiency when used in existing optical emission spectrometers
