PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method using a weed-proof material having a weed-proof effect that lasts for a long time, easy to construct and easy to procure, hard to be deteriorated by passing of pedestrians or vehicles after construction, and using steel slag having a low environmental effect.SOLUTION: A method for constructing a weed-proof material, as first means, includes: using the weed-proof material composed of steel slag formed by adjusting a grain size to a continuous grading having a maximum grading of 40 mm, especially, to a grading corresponding to a roadbed material, for being laid for weed-proofing of a soil surface cutting weeds grown in a section for weed-proofing and then laying the weed-proof material composed of the steel slag subjected to the grading adjustment on the section for weed-proofing at a thickness of 100 mm or more so as not to expose soil having a grain size of the maximum grading or more forming the soil surface in the section for weed-proofing.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】 防草効果が長期間継続し、施工が簡便でかつ材料の調達が容易であり、施工後に人や車両の通行によって防草効果が損なわれることなく、環境影響の低い製鋼スラグを用いた防草材料を用いた施工方法を提供する。【解決手段】 第1の手段は、最大粒度が40mmの連続粒度、特に路盤材相当粒度に破砕して粒度を調整して形成した製鋼スラグからなる土壌面の防草に敷設するための防草材料を用いて、防草対象となる区画に植生する雑草を刈り取った後、最大粒度が40mmの連続粒度となるように、粒度調整した製鋼スラグからなる防草材料を、防草対象の区画の土壌面を形成する防草材料の最大粒度以上の粒度の土壌が露出しない厚さの100mm以上として防草対象の区画に敷設する施工方法である。【選択図】 なし
