PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measurement apparatus, a body characteristic information calculation method, and a body characteristic information calculation program which can accurately calculate body characteristic information of a person to be measured with a simple operation.SOLUTION: A blood pressure measurement apparatus 1 comprises a triaxial acceleration sensor and a control unit 13 for outputting information for guiding an arm of a person to be measured, to which the blood pressure measurement apparatus is attached, to a pair of a first posture and a second posture having different positions of a wrist, and determining that the arm of the person to be measured has reached each posture of the pair on the basis of an output signal of the triaxial acceleration sensor after outputting the information.
